In this short interview, Danni Kerr gives her testimonial about the feminist pedagogy at SSoA, the approach during her time at the school, her memories, and the legacy it had in her career. She tells us about her journey with feminism inside and outside the school alongside her diverse professional background. Towards the end of the interview, she also talks about how a feminist school would look like and the main impacts of the feminist pedagogy in students’ future practice.
Danni Kerr is a University Teacher at the Sheffield School of Architecture, prior to this she has had careers in manufacturing, finance as well as being a qualified luthier, science teacher as well as being an architect. Danni believes that everything she has done and is doing informs her work in architecture including her ongoing PhD thesis in architecture and time. As an architect she has worked on all scales of project from domestic extensions to sports stadiums, Danni has run her own practice Superhistory and currently lives in her own self designed low energy house in Yorkshire.
